FAQs

Here you’ll find answer to the most common questions our customers have. If you have any questions that aren’t answered here, please contact us directly.

How is the DNA analysis performed?

The DNA analysis is performed using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology. This allows for the reading of millions of data simultaneously, which speeds up the sequencing significantly.

This is a complex process that takes several days to complete, even with our cutting-edge technology. Once sequencing is finished, your genetic information is processed by highly efficient supercomputers, which create an image of your genetic profile in just a few hours.

What happens to my DNA sample after the analysis?

Once the sequencing of your DNA is completed, your sample is safely destroyed. We only keep the digital image of your genetic profile for testing, and we never share this information with third parties.

What happens to my DNA sample after I submit it?

First, the DNA sample is registered in our certified EU laboratory. To ensure your privacy and anonymity, we create a special barcode, which we use to identify your sample throughout the process.

We then isolate the DNA, and after the quality of your sample is verified, your DNA is placed in freezer storage, ready for analysis.

Where will I find my test results?

The results of your test are uploaded to your Chromozoom account, accessible anytime via our website or mobile app, available for Android and iOS.
