Phenylthiocarbamide

The ability to taste PTC is a simple genetic trait governed by a pair of alleles – the dominant T allele for tasting, and the recessive t for non-tasting. People with the genotypes TT and Tt are PTC tasters, while those with the genotype tt are non-tasters.
