Mutations
In biology, changes in nucleotide sequence of DNA (or RNA) is called mutation. Mutations in genes can either have no effect, alter the product of a gene, or prevent the gene from functioning properly or completely. Mutations can also occur in regions of DNA, which do not code for genes.Mutations play important role in evolution. On the other hand, cells with certain mutations may become cancer cells.
